Re-Unite Round Table Seminar

Commonweal and Housing for Women hold the first round table event on the Re-Unite project

The Re-Unite round table seminar was held on 21st September. The event was attended by a wide range of organisations including NACRO, Women’s Centres, the Ministry of Justice and the National Offender Management Service.

Those attending learnt about this unique project and it’s successes so far from both Commonweal and Housing for Women as well as the project’s independent evaluators, Professor Loraine Gelsthorpe (Institute of Criminology, University of Cambridge and Dr. Gilly Sharpe ,University of Sheffield). Attendees also provided valuable insight from their own organisations on how this model could be taken forward.  We are now looking to further replicate the project and will actively be working with those attending to ensure that we take forward the lessons of this successful an innovative project.
